Developing and mastering confidence doesn’t always come easy to everyone. It’s not something we’re necessarily born with but it is something that we can all learn and develop.
Being a confident person can sometimes take a lot of practice to achieve but it doesn’t have to be difficult. And, once you master the skill of tapping into self-confidence and the more you use your new found magic power, the more the universe will take notice and listen.
How do I know this?
Well, I’ve spent many years working on building my own self-confidence. Trust me, this didn’t come naturally to me either.
So with that being said, I wanted to share with you the three biggest changes that you can start to implement TODAY, which will ultimately make a huge difference in your journey to finding and developing your confidence!
Now, if you’re an ambitious person like me (who has rather a big list of aspirations and goals to achieve), you’ll most likely agree that things like…
… can all too often derail us from our own dreams and desires, contributing to feelings of awful anxiety and overwhelm. At times, you may even doubt whether it’s actually possible to live a free life which truly feels easy and expansive.
To be honest with you, this process does not generally happen overnight. It takes time, determination and persistence. After all, practice makes perfect, right?
However, I know these confidence hacks work. How? Because time and time again, I’ve witnessed my clients going through massive transformations. When we first get started together, they’re struggling with their self-confidence and then by the end of our coaching, they’re turning it around, to consistently succeed and achieve all of the confidence that they desire. It’s really humbling to see this happening. And the impact it can have on someone’s life is astounding.
Plus, my own personal journey means that I’ve had first-hand experience of acting on these tips and tricks. I want to share them with you all because confidence should be available to everyone – and in abundance! I can’t tell you how different I am as an individual now, versus a few short years ago. Looking in the mirror everyday, I’m amazed at how far I’ve come and I’d love to help you do the same.
Next time you find yourself procrastinating or even completely avoiding a situation because you’re stuck in a space of self-doubt or perhaps you’re not feeling at all confident in your abilities, I want you to try to apply these three tricks. I promise you’ll feel a shift in your energy almost instantly:
1. Feel the fear & do it anyway –
Positive action is the remedy for fear!
If something feels scary at first, give yourself space, to be able to question where that fear is coming from? Take consistent little steps forward, always moving closer towards your goal. Baby steps are better than no steps at all.
2. Practice positive self-talk –
Remember, “You live the words you tell yourself in your mind”.
Talk to yourself like you would talk to a loved one. This one is particularly good for catching yourself with toxic thoughts and self-criticism. Be kind and gentle with yourself. Remember, we all need space and grace to work through self-development.
Be encouraging towards yourself. Tell yourself all those wonderful things that you wish to hear from those around you and watch your inner dialogue transform. ✨
3. Stop worrying about others’ opinions –
All of us are way too busy thinking about ourselves to care about others’ goof-ups.
Honestly, do you even remember when a friend last made themselves look silly? You almost certainly won’t because you’re so focused on yourself.
Lacking confidence brings on self-doubt, which can be completely debilitating. So loosen up, let go and have some fun!
Without coming across too harshly, we only have this one life. One fleeting existence on this beautiful planet. We need to up our game and quit wasting time on what we think others may think of us and focus more on how YOU want to think of you!
There’s a well known saying, and much debate to where it originated from, which goes something like this: “What you think about me is none of my business”. I love this so much and it’s a mantra that I like to think of regularly, especially when that self-doubt creeps in.
When you master this and really believe it, you’ll open yourself up to allowing a much more authentic version of yourself in and feel so much more empowered. Empowerment can open up so many doors for us in life – it’s powerful stuff.
