G R A T I T U D E – and ensuring that I practice gratitude daily – is one of the single biggest things that has transformed the way that I look at and approach everything in my life. By accepting gratitude, I have found I now attract it in abundance.
Whether it’s being thankful for all the incredible relationships I’m surrounded by, or being grateful for all of the wonderful synchronicities that are leading me to my purpose and vision for the life I want to build. Giving thanks for at least three things every morning before even stepping out of bed is now part of my compulsive, daily practices. It’s my non-negotiable morning ritual. It helps me effortlessly flow through the rest of my day with a sense of joy and pure intention in my heart.
Even more beautiful is that since introducing this practice into my life, the more I do it, the more my list of things to be grateful for has continued to grow. How amazing is that? The simple act of just drawing our focus to something wonderful in our life everyday can bring so much more joy and abundance.
I’m not saying that in the blink of an eye all of my problems have just disappeared. However, I do believe that a shift in my perspective has made me look at the glass half full, rather than half empty. It’s all about celebrating the little things that perk you up, rather than focusing on the things that are either out of your control or will pull your energy down.
It could be friends, family and love. Or, perhaps it’s good food, comfort and safety. Often, it’s work that fills me up, work that provides me with the most exciting chats, wonderful connections with strangers, resources and soul alignments. All of these things help me to connect deeply with myself. They enable me to focus on good health, being thankful for all of my blessings and appreciating living in one of the best cities in the world. They brighten up my day and allow me to wake up grateful for my life, every single morning.
Carrying gratitude in our heart for what we have and working on only what we can control can truly change everything. My life might look very different from yours and yours might look very different from others around you. It’s in our human nature to compare our situations with others, looking for something more, something different, something fulfilling. What we should really be doing is finding gratitude for all of the things in our lives that bring us joy, big or small. So, here’s a cheesy reminder from me to you to count all of your blessings! 🌻
For those of you who enjoy the whys and how’s, there’s plenty of research out there to prove that being grateful, by both showing and making sure that you regularly practice gratitude, is good for us.
